2 quickies.

NA will be Thursday this week, as Sararararararara has not been ale to attend NA in a while, so Thursday this, weeke and possibly next, IDK yet. IM thinking the village this week,as I have some games I would like to trade-in.

Also, as of last week we decided instead of buying a shitton of gifts, we'll do a Secret Santa instead and use the savings to have an X-mas party instead. I believe Judy and Maryann agreed to have the party at their place, which is fine by me. We'll discuss more this week I imagine.

Black Iron Man: The Movie vs. Fat Stoner Flick: Heaven or Hell, let's rock!
Since several of us got bombed last night, Senior Ewing and I are suggesting we go catch a flick tonight instrad of drinking. Our choice of film is Tropic Thunder, although since it opens tonight, we may have to settle on Pineapple Express. Here's the times for TT, I know I'm game, as is Mr. Ewing, Mr. Baker, Mr. Kelly, and Renee.

Various things. And by various I mean 3.
1) Nerd Avenging will occur on Thursday this week, not Wednesday. Also, I will be out of work @ 1pm on said Thor's day, and while Nerd Avenging would not happen until it's usually time, I will be around to chill earlier if ppl want in. Also a Carrie will be showing up in the city that night around 9:30ish. Tee.

2) Kathrine is throwing (and by throwing, making sure I booked a location and invite people) a suprise party for the Stampede of the Sean variety on Saturday, July 12th. Yes, throwing a suprise party for ur birthday a month and a half before his birthday will ensure it's a suprise. Anywho, I found a place in my neck of the woods that's willing to host it, and it' will be from 6pm-9pm that night (as least for dining, we can get moar drinks there as it's a pub) Nerd Avengers are invited, but crash space is probably not happening, as I have no space, nor does Sean, and John will be in California that weekend. Said location can easily be accessed by the R line though. More on that can be discussed as it gets closer, and remember, suprise!

3) Judy, there's something I need to talk to you about this week. Nothing super important OMG level, but you're the only person i can talk about it. Bug me on Thursday plz.

Movie's With A View
Ahoy fellow Avengers!
The schedule for this years "Movie's With A View" has been posted on the Brooklyn Bridge Park Website and there are a few titles that I think it'd be a lot of fun to go see.

Each Thursday evening, beginning July 10, Brooklyn Radio DJs set the scene with pre-film mood music, while RICE provides delicious dinners on site. All films are free and are screened on the lawn of the Empire-Fulton Ferry State Park section of Brooklyn Bridge Park. Nearest subways: A/C to High Street; 2/3 to Clark Street; F to York Street. No alcohol or pets are allowed at this event.

I am planning on attending the movies listed below, but be sure to check out their site to see if there is something interesting that you'd like to see.

July 24 (Thursday)
Wallace and Gromit: Curse Of The Were Rabbit

The annual Giant Vegetable Competition is days away and Wallace & Gromit’s humane pest control service, “Anti-Pesto,” is doing big business. But who exactly is changing into the mysterious Were-Rabbit, trashing and eating all the prized veggies? Find out in this 2005 Academy Award winner for Best Animated Feature.

August 21 (Thursday)
Being There

Peter Sellers shines in Hal Ashby's 1979 cult classic about an illiterate gardener who inadvertently becomes advisor to Washington's elite, changing the world while remaining his simpleton self. Also starring Shirley MacLaine and Melvyn Douglas in an Oscar-winning performance.

Let me know if you are interested in attending!

stuff to discuss...
Can we do Nerd Avenging on Thursday this week? I have a softball game on wednesday, and not sure I can make both.

Avatars! We will rebuild them, make them stronger.

Seriously, we need Avatars. If you want me to make one for you (or you want to make yours). Post the name and/or character for the avatar. I will whip one up shortly.
You can also post your own avatar. I look to Chris to upload them into the LJ thingy.

I say this, because once con season is over (or after nyaf), I will start on the Nerd Avengers Yearbook #2. Woot! As a crazy-early warning, if you would like to help in the photo choices, you can send the photos to me. Of course, once september rolls around, I'll be asking anyway.

and drum roll, please...
with the next yearbook, the Nerd Avengers website will be going through a re-design. I look to all the boys (and girls) who want to help code and build the site, the help is appreciated (and needed).

2008 plans
-finalize the NA logo
-re-design the site, which includes (hopefully) forum, blog, and photo gallery
-produce second book
-have crazy get togethers
-constantly create new nicknames for all members
-have fun!

ok. on that note. Let me know if you want to help and such.

Dude! We kick butt! The office is excited about this cause its more proof that we are kicking butt and people are taking notice. Two years ago when I interned here, there were two people in the web dept and a basic website. We now have a brand new redesigned website, digital comics, videos, animated episodes, games, Superhero Builder, and many more to come. :)

Ultimate Edits 3 #2
I'm not sure I ever posted the original Ultimate Edits here, but there should be link within one of the articles. It's not as funny as issue one, although there is some choice moments, and a well drawn Spidey, which should count for something....

4 out 5 Doctors say that if you can't find a Kirby of interest in thie article, you're insane. The 5th doctor would have agreed with him, but he was a limbless mute. Yeah, I dont know how he got his degree either.

Avenging date
Alright ppl, Sara can't avenge on Wednesday, I can't do Thursday, and if I suggest Friday, I'm gonna be tempted to go see "I am Legend", which if I see without Carrie, she'll break my legs.

So, ITT we vote for a date:
1) Wednesday
2) Thursday

State your opinions now.

Also, next week, is Nerd Avenger's X-mas. Wednesday for that I imagine.

Hey guys, in the DC/Justice League/etc. universe, is there someone named Tim, and if so, what's his superhero alter ego?

Also, can we do NA on Thursday this week? I'm going to dinner with my Japanese class on Wed night.
